Prisoner Wine Company 'Saldo' Zinfandel
Saldo doesn't fit in, but that doesn't matter. When you're from here and there (that's what Saldo means in Latin), you don't need to conform to one, single place. That's the funny thing about expectations they're made to be broken.
TASTING NOTESDark ruby color with bold aromas of black licorice, black pepper, cherry and baking spice. The entry is rich, full and scintillating. The palate is mouthwatering and smooth with a hint of chocolate. The finish is voluptuous with soft, velvety tannins.
FOOD PAIRINGZinfandel pairs with grilled meats galore, beef kababs, grilled Asian beef, roast beef, beef stroganoff, steaks, barbecue and anything with a sweet barbecue sauce or spice component.
