Farnese Fantini Sangiovese
Fantini wines are based in Abruzzo, part of the larger Farnese family wines, with vineyards in several regions in Italy. Sangiovese is the main red grape grown in the mountainous Terre di Chieti and this wine is a fruit forward, modern example of the classic Tuscan grape.
TASTING NOTESAromas of sweet baked fruits melding with a touch of smoky campfire. Typical Sangiovese flavours of tart red cherry, a touch of baking chocolate, plum with a light dry finish.
FOOD PAIRINGIt naturally accompanies dishes that are typical of Tuscan cuisine with its bold, authentic flavours, such as pasta and risottos made with mushrooms or truffles, pork, grilled meats and medium matured cheeses.
