Farnese Edizione 'Cinque Autoctoni'
The idea for this wine 'Cinque Autoctoni' came from a challenge by wine writer Hugh Johnson, who tasked them with creating a wine, representative of Southern Italy, forged of the best materials with the modest name (and price) of a table wine, but with the soul of a 'great wine'.
TASTING NOTESNotes of coffee and cocoa ride over a brooding, dark core of blackberries on the nose. The palate is luscious yet structured, with a ripe blackberry coulis flavour surrounded by more oak spices.
FOOD PAIRINGGrilled steak, pan roasted beef filet and rosti potatoes, cheeseburgers, turkey.
