Chateau Gruaud Larose
Chateau Gruaud Larose is a winery in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. It has a younger history than most of its counterparts, with origins dating back to 1725. It has more than made up for lost time, however, producing wines of high enough quality to quickly earn it 'Second Growth' status amongst the worlds great wines.

TASTING NOTESThis has a serious graphite spine, along with beautiful beams of blackcurrant, bitter plum and blackberry paste flavours. Dried anise, black tea and licorice snap notes lurk in the background. The finish is long and gilded with a violet accent.
FOOD PAIRINGBest paired with all types of classic meat dishes: veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game and roast chicken. This wine is also good when matched with Asian dishes, rich fish courses (tuna), mushrooms and pasta.
